Windows Campaign

We have successfully petitioned the Council to improve the windows on the Surrey Lane, reducing the number of phases from 4 to 3, and Compton House and Whitgift House now being completed a year early in 2015.

This was achieved through the direct action of 25 Surrey Lane Estate residents with Housing Officers from Wandsworth Council. Because of our action, over 200 families will have one less cold windows with windows in a state of disrepair. Furthermore, all residents received a letter from the Director of Housing, informing them of the new scheduled timetable.

The SLPO is planning to conduct community-led inspections, to ensure that the new windows delivered are high quality.
